How you see yourself will ultimately decide how you see God!™
Whatever is an object of extreme hatred is an abomination.
Alpha and Omega
God said: ...I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:6-8.
God is Alpha and Omega to man, i.e., the beginning and the endless end.
Alpha: THE BEGINNING - ETERNAL LIFE FOR ALL MEN IS THROUGH THE SPIRIT AND THIS IS OBTAINED BY THE WORD OF GOD. THE WORD OF GOD IS THE BEGINNING OF ETERNAL LIFE.
Omega: THE END - THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE MEANS BY WHICH WE LIVE DAY-TO-DAY FOREVER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WILL OF GOD FOR US INDIVIDUALLY. IT IS GOD'S WILL THAT ALL MEN WHO LIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WORD OF GOD RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE SEALED FOREVER AS A CHILD OF GOD- SPIRITUAL.
Baptism
Baptism in the Spirit (For Today - New Testament times)
But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? Mark 10:38 (see also Matthew 20:22-23.). In the preceding verse, Jesus was not talking about the baptism of water The baptism Jesus spoke of is part of the New Testament and it IS "His baptism" through HIM. We need to confess AND repent of our sins and receive the Word as our savior. This is not merely professing Jesus is the Christ, but receiving the Word as our savior. Salvation is spiritual and to receive Jesus as our savior must mean His spirit which is the Word. After receiving the Spirit of the Christ as our savior, knowing that Jesus is the Christ of course, we may then receive the Holy Spirit to do the Father's will which completes the baptism of the SPIRIT in us.
Baptism in the spirit is NOT the same as John's baptism for repentance (compare immediately below). Jesus offers a baptism in the spirit, after repentance, and John's baptism is done by those that desire signification that repentance has taken place.
Mark 1:4
It started for when Jesus was baptized with the Holy Spirit of God from heaven when the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus in the Jordan River immediately after He received the water baptism of John signifying the need for repentance first, both baptism's were a signpost of three elements:
FIRST we repent, and are cleansed through a baptism of repentance, although the use of the physical, liquid water itself is not mandatory, but repentance of the heart is mandatory. Please do not be confused into thinking someone must be dunked, dribbled or splashed, etc., with water to effectuate repentance. Liquid water is not required to effectuate repentance, and similarly confession alone is NOT repentance. God accepts repentance from the heart at any time, even in an arid desert or seconds before death where there is no water. The thief on the cross hanging next to Jesus was NOT baptized in water, and yet Jesus said he would enter heaven because of the thief's confession and repentance of heart. There are numerous other examples as well.
SECOND, we live to eat and drink the Word, and make the Word the program manual for our life, and this is the New Testament of the Bible. The Word IS part of the Spirit of God as the Spirit of the Christ-the first man to receive the Holy Spirit, as it is the Father's Word.
THIRD, we ask for the Holy Spirit of the Father God, i.e., the power that is in the will of God, to infill us as our " comforter" by which to live forever powerfully resisting the world and its ways, and starting immediately after the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies us as a child of God, we live eternally.
Further, Paul also was not talking about the baptism John gave, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all men-first to Jesus, and every other man thereafter who wants the Holy Spirit.
Baptism in Water, Water Baptism
Jesus did not baptize men in water, but allowed man to repent, and make whatever display he chose, e.g., immersion, sprinkling,..., to evidence it. Many religions require a baptism of liquid water and even done a certain way, but this is NOT the Word and what Jesus was talking about when He spoke of His baptism.
In fact, the baptism as stated in the great commission by Jesus to go into all the world and baptize them...is the baptism in the Spirit which is of God, i.e., the baptism that Jesus had from the Father, not the water baptism of John the Baptist. ...John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. Acts 19:4. The water baptism of John was of repentance and H20, i.e., the liquid water, was not a requirement.
Jesus said: ...Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. Matthew 20:23.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? John 3:3-10.

The Bible contains the Word! Belief in the Word is the single most powerful condition we MUST have in our heart for us to be part of the body of Christ. Belief is the basis for faith. Faith is how we receive salvation, and yet faith is action, i.e., living life-doing, based on belief in the Word!
A lack of belief in the Word is the single most powerful condition that keeps us from God, and prevents our eternal life.
Belief (Our Own)
Who cares what you or I believe, if it is not true? Unbelief of the Bible includes interpretation of it to avoid repentance and changing individually. Interpretation to avoid practicing the New Testament is unbelief in the Word and an eventual second death! Many graduates of seminaries have become masters at interpreting the Word, when in truth they become blind leaders of the blind.
Our belief does not change the truth, but changes us, when we believe things that are not true. We must relinquish our own beliefs in what we think is true, and believe in faith the Word, that is true. God has put a measure of faith in all of us by virtue of our life, and thus we must accept the Word as true and live that way.
When we feed our mind with lies or the wisdom of this world which is foolishness to God, our mind seeks carnality and our excuse becomes the sinner's excuse, which places a competing belief in our heart that a carnal life is better or as good as a spiritual one, although it is not. This happens because our flesh likes carnal things, and the feel good factor associated with them.
Bible
Believe it or not, the Bible contains the Word of God. For many, this is the first step of belief because they simply refuse to believe this truth. Please read this testimony. If people lived according to the New testament they would then KNOW the Bible contains the Word of God and IS the doctrine for life. Jesus said: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. John 7:16-17. We must have the Word dwelling in us to do the will of God!
When we start with the Bible, we start with the NEW Testament, NOT the Old. Jesus said we who have His Spirit, i.e., the Word and the Holy Spirit, dwelling in them would do the things He did, i.e., the will of God, with the power of the spirit (i.e., "dynamis" in the Greek). Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12.
The Bible is the means by which we understand the difference between the flesh and spirit.
The Bible IS a statement of God's will for all men as it is His Word.
John 1:1-3, 10-14.
. People grow towards it (i.e., the Word) and a lifestyle incorporating it, or they dismiss it and live a lifestyle designed by their own flesh and its desires. As a result of a worldly choice, the person refuses God the Father, whether they admit it or not, and here is where religion becomes dangerous. Religion has been known to try and fill the gap between man and God, and yet that is the very purpose of Jesus, i.e., the Word, and not religion!
The King James Version is the preferred Bible because it is most accurate and free for the public (i.e., no copyrights), and available from many sources. Other translations are interpretations that frequently change the meaning of the Word, and are the copyright protected property of men, seeking to make the Word softer, for men who have become more easily offended by it. The watered down translations/ interpretations appease men, whose desire is not to follow the Word and live by it, but adopt their own chosen lifestyle. The publishers of these translations/interpretations sell these to men under the guise of simplicity, while often removing the requirement of repentance from sin, suffering of the flesh associated with a change in lifestyle, and pursuit of truth.
It is no surprise that men swap truth for money all the time, and the copyrighted translations of the Bible, other than the King James Version, change every few years to accommodate people and the simple thinking of men. To those that know the truth, making things simple makes sense, but changing the Word to appease men for the sake of fleshly comfort in exchange for money is unacceptable.
Blind:
Blind Followers of the Blind
Those that follow the teachings and doctrines of men, who advocate religious doctrines and teachings that cannot be reconciled with the Word, including those that seek an interpretation of the Word to obtain the meaning that suits them or their doctrine, are blind followers of the blind.
Blind Leaders of the Blind
Those who advocate the religious doctrines and teachings of men under the guise of holiness, (e.g., the pastoral electorate in many denominational congregations, who are recognized as the robed seminarians thereof), and cannot reconcile their doctrines and teachings with the Word alone, with the Holy Spirit ,as per the Bible. These blind leaders require outside resources of men, their intellect, or science, etc., and the explanations thereof, so that their interpretation of the Word renders a meaning that suits them and/or their blind followers who support them, usually with tithes and offerings, i.e., money.
Blotted Out of the Book of Life
If we claim to be " saved", we also claim to have our name written in the Book of Life forever`, but Jesus said some names would be blotted out of the Book of Life. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5.
Many robed seminarians of our day vehemently object to the concept of losing one's salvation, i.e., getting their name blotted out of the Book of Life, yet it is God's word and the words of the resurrected Christ Jesus that say it is so! Robed seminarians are known to explain away this truth by confusion. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:23.
Even when there is a sanctification by the Holy Spirit, there is still the possibility of an unpardonable sin for blaspheming the Holy Spirit, which we do not speak of. Sanctification IS the most secure relationship anyone can have with God, and yet the unpardonable sin makes it clearly possible for one to lose their eternal security. Therefore, to be without the Holy Spirit guiding our every step presents an even greater risk of losing one's salvation. It is well now that many claiming to be saved will die in hell, and so whether or not the perspective is of God, as in the unpardonable sin of which only He knows about, or a perspective of our own, through a partial or complete unbelief in the Word, the result is still loss of one's own soul.
Trying to be God, the devil committed the unpardonable sin, and was banished from heaven forever. How many people try to be God by changing His Word? Nobody knows and nobody should discuss the nature of the unpardonable sin. Just DO God's will and be saved!
Body of Christ
The bodies of people that claim to be part of the body of Christ belong to Him, i.e., Jesus, as His own body, for they are the temples of the Spirit of God. If people claim to be part of the body of Christ, their own body must have the inner man of Jesus, i.e., the Word, which was His will and would be our will too. Thus, we are to DO with our body as He did with His body, not as we would by our own choosing, expecting Him to live in us, while we engage in sin to avoid suffering in the flesh for salvation. You were purchased for a price and are the purchased possession of God the Father IF you are born again of Christ, i.e., live by the Word as the " saved"!
Blood Bought
It is time for all of us to act as if we are "saved", i.e., born again, by demonstrating His will and the life in the Spirit.
Jesus received His flesh from flesh, and His spirit from Spirit- God. The Father created Jesus with a human, and the spirit of the man, Jesus, is the Word of God. His will, i.e., the spirit of Jesus the Christ, is housed within His soul, and His is the Word. When we become part of the body of Christ, our will which is our spirit, i.e., the inner man, becomes the Word! The difference is the very special nature of the spirit of Jesus. His spirit is not only love as it is of God and God is love, but the entire Word of God which is, of course, God's will for all people to live by as per God's plan and desire, but people decide for themselves how they will live.
Being made of fleshly parents in total, our only way to live forever is through Jesus as He lived, which was and is by the Word in the inner man. Thus, if we do not do the will of God by receiving His Word, i.e., His son, we reject the very eternal life He sent for us by and through the Word! We must change, and not expect the Word to change to accommodate us. If we do not receive His Word, we are not a member of the royal family, and we cannot do the will of God without the Holy Spirit. If we are of the Body of Christ, we shall have the mind of Christ and seek to do the Father's will always.
Born Again
Being born again means the Word dwells in you as your own spirit/will of man, i.e., your inner man becomes the same as the inner man of Jesus, the man when He was alive, and while He was born that way, we can be born again through Him by a belief in Him as we believe in the Word as true!
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:38-39. The SPIRIT first comes to us through the Word, which is the spirit of Jesus the man, the son of God. When we believe on Him, His Spirit becomes our spirit, and our will is renewed to do as He did. We are not justified by Him such that we maintain our old man. By Him we become justified through Him and renewed to a new man. Stated another way, if we live in His body, i.e., His flesh through the Word as He did, we are then made holy through Him, but not of ourselves. We cannot expect salvation through Him without a relinquishment of our personal self and our own chosen lifestyle, in favor of the lifestyle He lived. Our flesh and lifestyle is never justified, but we become justified THROUGH Him as we live in His body, the body of Christ, doing the things He would do and always pleasing the Father. This distinction is paramount.
This is why we begin choosing the will of God over the will of our flesh when our spirit (i.e., our will) becomes the Word, which is the will of God for everyone. It is our flesh and the will of our flesh that messes us up! The Spirit of God is one spirit in a triune form, i.e., the trinity. From the Word, which is spiritual, we become born again, and naturally grow spiritually-progressing by the Holy Spirit to seek and do the Father's will personally!
Leading up to John 3:16, is the discussion Jesus had with Nicodemus, and Jesus said:
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3-7. (Emphasis added).
The Word must dwell in us through our quest and belief for truth, before the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Truth, can ever reside in us, and then bear witness with our spirit (i.e., the Word in us) that we are the children of God. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17.
All people who are born again are the brethren and part of the royal family of God. Speaking of the brethren who are born again and children of God: We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:6-8. (Emphasis added).
The flesh body and the carnal mind are part of the same enterprise, and the things which we mind (i.e., pay our attention to) control the flesh body and give it direction.
We have a brain connected to our flesh. The brain communicates with our flesh and vice versa. The will of the flesh is then sent to the brain, and if the brain yields to the flesh, i.e., submits to the will of the flesh, we are carnal. If the brain repels the will of the flesh in favor of the will of God within the born again whose inner man is the Word, then we have the mind of Christ. Therefore, we can be a carnally minded person or a spiritually minded person. The mind of Christ is the mind that was and is in Jesus the Christ, whose inner man was and is the Word set to do God's will ONLY!
Romans 8:5-8
The understanding of the difference between the carnal mind and the mind of Christ is definitely worth the effort. The carnal mind is the mind for the things of this world. If we have a mind for living according to the things of God we have the mind of Christ. The carnal mind is against God, i.e., the enemy of God. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:7.
Does this mean we never have a human thought? Of course not, but it does mean we do not have a mind for carnality, but for spirituality. The carnal mind is part of the old man for those born again, i.e., the flesh man, and yet while seemingly hard to leave, it is the easiest thing to do.
Carnal Man
Carnal man is good at concocting his own beliefs and doctrines to live by because he has a carnal mind and not the mind of Christ instead. By contrast, the spiritual man is born again in the inner man and becomes a child of God. His inner man is spiritual because it is the Word, and he holds the truth as his own will. Sharing this good news is most important for the born again, because they naturally seek to live as Jesus lived and do what He did, i.e., obeying the will of the Father, and pleasing Him with the use of their body as a faithful servant, because they know no other way, all the while enduring the struggle with their own fleshly desires.
Children
Children of God
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:10-14. In the first line, " Christ" means the Word!
Those that believe Jesus in the flesh is unapproachable or that having righteousness is unattainable, do not know Jesus, and many still see themselves as a hopeless sinner. Some congregational churches today actually teach this nonsense and perpetuate this hopeless condition, but the Word IS our hope! Those that see Jesus as the loving Word of God in spirit find themselves with a great comforter encouraging them to persevere and continue growing in righteousness, living by the spiritual Word for a sinless lifestyle. The Holy Spirit dwelling in men seeking truth bears witness with man's will,( i.e., the born again man's spirit in the inner man which is the Word), as a testament to this combination, which is evident in lifestyle.
Children of the Devil (Children of Disobedience)
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:8-10.
Christians
EVERY Christian is first a disciple, and as disciples, we ALL have a ministry which will glorify the Christ Jesus. This pleases the Father because the son is His eternal life, and His gift to us. ...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26.
The church is a collection of DOERS of the Word, and not hearers only.
James 1:22-27.
We use the term church as the local congregational building, but the church is actually the group of believers in, and followers of, Christ. The "church" is NOT a building or dwelling place to worship on Sunday, although many places of worship are referred to as churches, we must learn to recognize each of the brethren as the church.
Comforter
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 15:26.
The Greek word for Comforter is "Paraclete". Jesus was a paraclete and thus when He said: ...I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (John 14:16), He was referring to Himself as a paraclete and that another would be sent to us as the Holy Spirit.
The mission of the Another Comforter, i.e., the Another Paraclete-the Holy Spirit, is to abide with the disciples after Jesus has withdrawn His visible presence from them. Jesus was Himself a paraclete and thus the Holy Spirit is "another".
There is no reason for limiting to the Apostles themselves the "another comforter" as promised in the Gospel (Matthew 10:19; Mark 13:11; Luke 12:11, 21:14) and described in Acts 2 because ALL Christians are supposed to be disciples, and live as part of the Body of Christ.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13.
The mission of the Holy Spirit as a Paraclete is to equip the born again, those who have received the Father's Holy Spirit, to continue the works and missions of Jesus according to the Father's will. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26).
Commandments
The battle ground NOW is under the New Covenant which is spiritual. The Old Covenant of the flesh and the Ten Commandments given to the Jews have been absorbed within the New Covenant and the Two Commandments given by Christ. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:29-31.
Commission, The Great
The great commission to go into all the world and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is not the identity of the trinity, unless we recognize the "Son" as the Word, which is spiritual, and not the "son" as refers to the man Jesus. The baptism as part of the great commission means the baptism in the spirit, i.e., the baptism that Jesus had from the Father, not the water baptism of John the Baptist. The "son" is Jesus in the flesh as a man AND the Word of God in spirit, but herein also lies the place where some confuse the Word. We must consider the Word as spirit and Jesus the man as flesh, while we grow to maturity on the understanding of the difference. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20.

Death
All people must find humility in knowing they will all die. It is God the Father and ONLY God the Father, who has sent the means of escaping a second death. Our love of life must prevail and overcome the luring death of this world. This does not mean we are to condone or accept sin under the goading accusation of the sinner that we who are the righteous are not loving, no, not at all.
Deliverance
If we are born again, we will be delivered from our former self, i.e., the old man! Does that mean the flesh will suffer because of a changing lifestyle when we are being set free? For most people the answer is clearly yes, yet once we are free we do not suffer any longer for we are delivered. Those that don't believe in deliverance from the bondage of sin are not born again, and don't get salvation in the end because they don't believe the Word.
Dying in the pursuit of the kingdom of God and His righteousness in accordance with the Word is a just cause and honorable death. We who are the saved should do it daily as to the will of the flesh, but those who don't receive deliverance cling to their sin by wearing the sinner's badge, or some claim they are not sinning by a reprobate mind. Deliverance is available-seek it and find it! A desire for the truth is what brings about a recognition of sin, and the desire to be set free is what brings us the power of God through trust in Jesus.
Desire
Desire is not the same as will. Desire is a want in attitude, but "will" couples desire with the actions.
THE "DESIRE OF GOD" IS NOT THE SAME AS THE "WILL OF GOD" BECAUSE GOD'S WILL HAPPENS POWERFULLY AND AUTOMATICALLY. GOD'S WILL IS UNAVOIDABLE WITH THE GUARANTEE OF OCCURRENCE.
THE WORD AND ALL THE Bible CONTAINS IS PART OF HIS WILL. THROUGH THE WORD WE FIND ETERNAL LIFE, AND THIS IS THE DESIRE OF GOD FOR ALL MEN!
THE DESIRE OF GOD IS WHAT HE WANTS AS THE BEST FOR US, BUT HE HAS GIVEN US THE WILL OF MAN TO DECIDE AND CONTROL OUR OWN END, I.E., TO BE OUR OWN GODS, AND PURSUE THAT WHICH WE LOVE.
JESUS SECURED OUR WILL TO CHOOSE, BY THE LOVE OF OUR FATHER, AND THIS IS THE LOVE BY WHICH WE FIND OUR FATHER AND LOVE HIM AS HIS OWN-JUST LIKE JESUS!
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. John 10:34-38.
The Body of Christ is the body in which we claim salvation. The spirit/will of Jesus the man in His inner man is the Word of God, the same Word by which people claim salvation through the rebirth in spirit. The rebirth means, the inner man of Jesus the man, now becomes our inner man in order for us to live as part of the body of Christ. Our born again inner man is the SAME Word that is the inner man of Jesus and not some interpretation of it. This is why we are disciples to do what He did!
How can someone saying their own fleshly sin is "okay" still claim to be a disciple, which we know the Bible defines as a Christian?
For those that continue in sin and claim they are saved, also claim they are part of the body of Christ by their salvation, and Jesus must actually and directly advocate and approve of their sin. Thus, they must think their own sin is not sin, or they live by their own understanding of a cheap, convenient, grace doctrine. Many of these same people are most assuredly workers of iniquity and blind leaders of the blind for everybody that follows this doctrinal nonsense!
Disobedience in the context of sin IS disobeying God's will by the transgression of it. The Bible says we know sin by the Law (i.e., the first five books of the Bible called the "Pentateuch"), and yet the first sin was without the law and predated it. Was the first "sin" of the first man called Adam a sin? Yes, but it was actually a transgression of God's will. Disobedience to God includes a lack of love for God and the enemy shall remain eternally disobedient/evil and will be destroyed by the Father in the end!
From the very beginning, transgression against God's will was something people were warned by God not to do, and yet today we have lost that perspective because there is little fear of God among the people of this world. The lack of fear is due in large part to the softness of the brand of gospel being preached and taught in the congregational churches of today, that resemble small corporations with extensive balance sheets centered around money.
It is up to you and me to pursue eternal life according to our own will, i.e., we either want it or we do not, but we do not set the rules on how to get it! After all, He cannot make us choose to live forever, but He most certainly can lead us to live properly as His child, if we are willing to pursue a life in the Spirit, and not the spirit of the world, i.e., the enemy. He gave the choice to you and me when He gave us our soul, which contains our spirit in the inner man, i.e., our will!
People manufacture their own doctrine when they interpret the Bible to suit their lifestyle, or justify the actions of their flesh instead of choosing the path of repentance. We as men must examine the doctrines being preached, taught, and believed by us, even in the places we worship. We cannot simply receive everything that is thrown at us as gospel, in the name of Jesus or the Word.
Jesus said: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. Matthew 7:22-25. The rock is the Word of God-the lineage of the inner man of Jesus, i.e., His spirit/will, not the genealogy of Peter in the flesh!
Doctrine of Jesus
Jesus answered them, and said: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. John 7:16-17. The doctrine of Jesus the Christ is DO God's will! Doing God's will begins with believing the Word and making it our life without interpretation or change of the Bible. From the Word, we find truth, and a directive to seek the Holy Spirit to guide us in our personal obedient service to the Father
The doctrine of Jesus was His will in the inner man, i.e., His spirit/will because it was and is the Word of God. We make it ours when we become born again and part of the body of Christ, which means the Word becomes our new inner man! Therefore, everything Jesus taught and said was in relation to doing the will of God and He lived it, for He himself, i.e., the spirit of Christ was and is the Word of God as explained throughout this site.
Simply being a "good person" is not the test. Even Jesus himself, while speaking of His flesh, said, Why callest thou me good, there is none good, but one and that is God. Matthew 19:17, Mark 10:18, see also Luke 18:19.
Door (The)
Jesus is the doorway to the SPIRIT life. Jesus said: I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:9-10.
On the other side of the door is the spirit and the kingdom of heaven-our Father's kingdom. That door is His flesh, which He gave for us and thereby opened that door into the spirit for those that would venture in through the truth.
Double Minded
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8.
...Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4:7-8.
"Double-minded" means "double-souled" in the Bible, and it occurs twice. Our inner man is our own spirit, and it is our will of man residing in our soul. A double-minded man, i.e., a double-souled man, is one who seeks to live according to his own will of his flesh AND the will of God. Thus, this does not mean someone has two souls, but has a double-minded or "two-willed" consideration of life, i.e., a will to live two ways as described.
The god (small "g" intended) of this world is the enemy-the devil. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
The devil is referred to as a thief in the Bible. Jesus said: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10. People who are NOT the children of God have the spirit of the world, and are the children of the enemy.
Eternal Life
We begin our eternal life by this first fact: Jesus IS the Word, and our eternal destiny is determined by our answer to this question:
Do I want to live by the Word of God?
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:3-6.
The Bible says we who are the born again and saved were bought with a price, and thus have no say so as to how to live our lives. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 1 Corinthians 7:23.
Eternal Security
Evil, Evildoers
Excuses
The entire premise of excuses for sin, including, "God made me this way," is silly. God made your soul and in it gave you the will of man, i.e., your inner man, to decide what you want to do with your life now and forever. It is your choice! We then find we love the things of the flesh or the things of God, but only one testifies of our sonship to God.
God is perfection, but if we say our sin is "okay" or "He made me this way," we cheapen Him, and His perfection is rendered imperfection, because humans are not perfect. God does not create anything imperfect as part of Him, or His own Word then blasphemes Himself. Thus, our soul was sinless at one time, and then our flesh took over condemning us to a life of sin. Our only hope is Jesus! We must face up to our own sin and repent, instead of finding ways to justify our flesh.
Most seeking to justify their flesh then say, "Well, what I am doing is not sin because God made me this way," thereby blaming God. God made man and commanded him to multiply on his own. God did not make you and I in our flesh, but our parents did! We are flesh and HE is spirit! The part He made is our soul which contains our will of man, i.e., our own spirit of man to decide and do. Thus, by our own will, we pursue whatever we love and our soul will follow. It is our choice, no excuses please!
Faith
But without faith it is impossible to please him [God]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6. Faith is belief in the Word put into action!
False Prophets and Teachers
The truth goes before you!
If we are all members of the church, one of another in Christ, then the letters to Ephesus and Sardis are also letters to us, as are the books of the entire New Testament. Some will say: "Oh, but that means something else, maybe the Jews or heathen or atheists or whoever..." No. The above verses apply to everyone even if we don't believe them: For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11.
People who adopt the "Once saved always saved no matter what" doctrine become drunk on it, and do not realize they put the sinner's badge back on. In their religious drunkenness they do not have eyes to see they are actually seeking to remain sinners. The professing sinner, therefore, relies on the inherent excuses attached to the sinner's badge rather than pursuing the more difficult alternative which is removing the badge and resisting the enemy's ways in order to find deliverance through repentance.
What is a "false doctrine"?
A false doctrine is any doctrine that is not true, including, but not limited to, any doctrine that advocates the precept, principle or belief that once a person's name is written in the Book of Life it cannot thereafter be blotted out of the Book of Life.
What is a "false teaching"?
A false teaching is any teaching that is false, including, but not limited to, the precept, principle or belief that once a person's name is written in the Book of Life it cannot thereafter be blotted out of the Book of Life.
Many Christians do not believe it is possible to have their name blotted out of the book of life, but God said it plainly and simply in Revelation, and the book of Revelation ends with this:
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19.
Who is a "false prophet"?
The understanding of the answer to this question requires an understanding of the meaning of "prophecy". For our purposes and for this context, prophecy is spiritual. The Bible says the testimony of Jesus Christ IS the spirit of prophecy. (Rev. 19:10). Thus, anyone testifying about Jesus Christ is testifying according to the spirit of prophecy, because their testimony IS the spirit of prophecy, making them a prophet as to the testimony itself.
A false prophet then is anybody who testifies about Jesus the Christ, and at the same time is advocating a "false doctrine" (described above). Thus, anyone who has a testimony of Jesus the Christ, and who advocates a doctrine that is not true, including, but not limited to the precept, principle or belief that says once a person's name is written in the Book of Life it cannot thereafter be blotted out of the Book of Life as Jesus said in Revelation, is a false prophet.
Nobody should test the truth of the Bible by defying it with their own soul. We should become humble before God, fear Him, receive His will which is His love, and live in it by the New Testament of the Word!
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Revelation 19:20.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10.
Who is a "false teacher"?
A false teacher is someone who teaches a "false teaching" (described above). Thus, anyone who teaches the precept, principle or belief that once a person's name is written in the Book of Life it cannot thereafter be blotted out of the Book of Life as Jesus said in Revelation, is a false teacher.
The false prophet gives testimony of Jesus the Christ, AND advocates a false doctrine. The false teacher need only advocate the false teaching, and need not be giving testimony of Jesus the Christ.
Father
God the Father is the Father of everything spiritual! The place of spiritual existence is the kingdom of heaven which is the kingdom of God. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17
To come to know the Father means to come to know His will for you, i.e., yourself! When we know the Father's will, we can please Him by doing it, and He becomes more of a Father to us because we know more about Him. This is not done as it is here in this world out of torment like a mean dad or parent when we were growing up, but a loving good one!
How can "the Father" actually be God, if God is made up of the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, (i.e., the trinity)?
All aspects of God are still God, and all aspects of the Father are still of the Father. The Father himself in His entirety is God, the Word is God as it is of Him-spoken by the Father, and the Holy Spirit is God as it is the power of the Father, and as each is part of the Father each is also a part of God. Thus, the Father is God as the term God includes the Father in His entirety. They all agree in the will of God! The agreement of the trinity IS the will of God.
A life in the flesh is at odds, against a life in the spirit. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:17. (Emphasis added). For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:13.
Flesh Parents
Jesus said: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:6).
Your parents made your flesh! People, even Christians, think God made their flesh and that is flat wrong. God made the flesh of man in the first instance when man was sinless and thereafter the sinful man, having been given the ability to reproduce, made the rest like all beasts and living things naturally do.
I was made in the flesh by my parents as you were by your parents, but neither of our flesh bodies were made by God. They were made by our parents and the natural reproductive cycle God created from the beginning as part of all living things. God is the giver of all life, and God made your soul and deposited it in you. From here we can gain a proper understanding of flesh and spirit. The soul is given a spirit, i.e., a will, which is the choice to live or die, and God is about life and love.
Some might say, "If I am who I am because of God's will, and you are who you are because of God's will, how then can I resist Gods' will and be anything other than what he made?" This, again, assumes God made your flesh which He did not, but He did make your soul. He gave you and me the ability and authority to choose how to manage our body with our mind as the gatekeeper of our will. This is where the mind of a person shuts out the truth in the word of God in exchange for the wisdom of the world they gain through their own intellect.
Jesus said: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:15.
Why are we required to forgive everyone BEFORE God extends His forgiveness to us? Wherever we hold onto our unforgiveness of others, we hold onto the enemy, i.e., the unforgiven itself, and prevent God from forgiving us. The enemy of God is not forgiven and never will be and there is no hope of repentance in the enemy. When we cling to unforgiveness we act as the enemy, and thus we cannot be forgiven just as the enemy is not forgiven!
All manner of sin is forgiven, assuming there is confession and a heart of repentance. The only exception which we do not speak of is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost which is never forgiven. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Matthew 12:31-32.
Friend of the World
...know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4
God-Trinity of God
Jesus said: God is a Spirit... John 4:24
God is a trinity. Many people say the commission to go and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is a statement of the trinity, and this is true provided the "son" is actually the Word in spirit knowing the SPIRIT is the only proper frame of reference when considering God. Jesus the man was a human conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a woman. The difference between Jesus the man (flesh) and the Word (spiritual) is critical to an understanding of the flesh and spirit. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7.
To understand the administration of God, we consider what the Father in heaven said to the prophets: Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. Isaiah 42:1. Then again in the book of Matthew in the New Testament the Bible restates this: Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. Matthew 12:18.
From the verses above: the " My Servant" is Jesus the Christ in the flesh, AND the Word of God in spirit, AND any of us who are born again by the same spirit of Christ, i.e., the Word dwelling in us as our spirit. The "my spirit" of the Father in the above verses is the "Holy Ghost" also called the Holy Spirit, and of course the "my" meaning "self" is the Father Himself in His soul, i.e., the soul of God the Father where His will originates! If we live through Christ as the saved, WE ARE SERVANTS TOO!
Thus, we live as part of the body of Christ as the church connected to God the Father by His Word, i.e.., His son which is the spirit of Jesus in the flesh! Each of us who are born again live in Jesus's stead here and now and are to do His works. Jesus said: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12.
As a final note, the Word is and always has been a statement of God's will for every man, and by the Holy Spirit we come to know the will of God for us individually. The doing part is left up to us, and overcoming the flesh is accomplished by the Holy Spirit that quickens our mortal body to do God's will!
Go and Sin No More, Sin No More
Start by remembering, we do NOT continue in sin so that grace may abound, no, God forbid!
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:1-4.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14. (Emphasis added). It is the grace OF God and not just from God! By grace, i.e., through the Word alone, we are saved through faith. Jesus (i.e., the Word) was full of grace and truth as per the Bible. When we live by the life of Christ, i.e., His spirit which is the Word, we get the grace that He had! Thus, grace comes through Christ, but grace does not come at all unless we are God's children. We get it because we are born again by the spirit of the Christ. Jesus knew no sin and neither should you, but be set free, i.e., delivered, from it.
For a time, the children of the devil may receive God's mercy by Him withholding His wrath on their flesh for they are not spiritually reborn, and mercy is most assuredly NOT grace. We have ALL receive(d) His mercy! So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Romans 9:16
Grace and mercy do not mean a license to sin. Grace means forgiveness when we mess up all the while we have a heart of repentance by the Word of God to seek to do God's Will, and mercy means a temporary withholding of God's wrath to deliver punishment.
This is perhaps the most difficult and the most easily understood concept to define. In the Bible, it means many things in different context, but always with resort to a common frame of reference as the place of love! It is not that place of physical lust or human emotion because those are the body and carnal mind respectively.
Try as we may to conceal it, our heart is that place where we find what we love and our will within our heart, residing there as our spirit, pursues that which we love. If we find what we love is fleshly things and carnal desires, our will pursues that brand of love by accepting the will of the flesh as the way to live carnally minded. If we find we love the things of God, our will pursues the true love of God and seeks to please Him as a Father and live like Jesus lived having the mind of Christ.
Thus, the heart is the place of love in each of us, and our will is our spirit within us as our inner man pursues that which we love. Our will is our spirit, and the inner man becomes born again when we love Jesus at which time our will then pursues the origin of Him, i.e., the Word.
Jesus said: For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:43-49.

Heaven
The spiritual existence never dies and lives forever, but the fleshly existence dies. Heaven is the place where the spirit exists in total (100%) and permanence forever--a place of distinct and separate existence from this world and what we know or could know here. Heaven is reserved only for the children of God who are the born again in the Spirit, i.e., the Word in their inner man as their spirit/will. Children of this world living by the spirit of the world die the second death in hell. Heaven and this world are not the same place. Similarly, the spiritual existence as a way of life is not the same as a carnal existence and living worldly as a way of life.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:13-14. (Emphasis added).
From the moment of our fleshly birth on this earth we begin to die, and from the moment of our rebirth by the Spirit, i.e., the Word and Holy Spirit which is God we begin to live forever, but not all claiming to be saved will make it.

Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost, Spirit of Truth)
The Holy Spirit brings about sanctification to the born again! With the Holy Spirit bearing witness with our born again spirit, i.e., the Word as part of us and the body of Christ, we can never have our name blotted out of the book of life unless we blaspheme the Holy Ghost which is never forgiven, and this possibility we do not speak of.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God as the power of God that created the sun, stars, planets, grass and all things, as well as raised Jesus the man from the dead. The Holy Spirit can quicken your mortal bodies to deliver you from the bondage of sin! But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11.
When we live, truly live, as part of the body of Christ Jesus, we LIVE as part of Him rather than our old self. He delivers us from our old man. As we conduct ourselves according to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and not the will of the flesh, we act according to the Father's will. It is also here where those that view themselves as hopeless sinners resort to justification for their sin and refuse deliverance from sin through repentance. In addition, people seeking the strength (i.e., power) of God to quicken their mortal bodies to overcome the slavery of their sinful ways don't get it without the SPIRIT which includes the power of God!
In short, people seek a particular item or thing from God like an a la carte item on a menu, but they never receive that which they desire. All they could ever want or ask for is part of the full banquet included within the SPIRIT which comes by and through the Word first and no other way. It is here where those same people have refused the fullness of the Word thereby creating their own stumbling block, the Word.
Consider this: If we were led of the spirit not to feed a starving man whose last breaths were repentance of sin and requests for salvation through Christ he would die and enter heaven. Consider the same man and we deny the leading of the spirit and feed him because our flesh wants to do a good deed and the man goes on to be a wealthy industrialist and never finds salvation, but dies in hell, which is better? We cannot know the truth in what we do if we do not have the Holy Spirit of truth in us. The Bible calls this our spirit bearing witness with the Spirit of God the Father such that we are then His children.
Inner Man
Our inner man is our spirit of man, i.e., man's spirit which is our will that resides within our soul. The will of the flesh is of the carnal outward human man. Being born again is the rebirth of your will inside, i.e., your will of man, to do God's will by and through His spirit. This is accomplished by the Word, which is the spirit/will of Jesus the man, and becomes our spirit/will when we are born again through belief in Him, and live in His body as part of the body of Christ! The inner man is renewed day-by-day by the spirit of God (i.e., the Word and His Holy Spirit) dwelling in them and their life reflects this indwelling by the actions (i.e., works) of the born again.
Intellect
We must understand the difference between flesh and spirit! Our intellect or "head knowledge" is inside our brain which is the gatekeeper of our will. A carnally minded person lives by the will of man which defaults to the will of the flesh. A spiritually minded person has the Word as his will, and he defers to the will of God to overcome the default to the will of the flesh through Jesus, i.e., the Word, who has overcome the world and our fleshly affinity to be a friend of the world, when we live in His body as part of the body of Christ! We who are born again have the mind of Christ.
Mind of Christ = Gatekeeper of the born again in spirit by the Word.
Carnal Mind = Gatekeeper of the human flesh not born again by the Word.
If we live spiritually, we live by the Word inside us as our inner man, and we live seeking a closeness to the source of that Spirit, i.e., God the Father. But many do not have the Word in them and do not know true love, and the only love they think they know is fleshly carnal love which, of course, is lust and cannot be called love. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:16.
Interpretation is the design of translation. Many people depend on the interpretation of the Bible for their lifestyle and seek out the interpretation that pleases them, but the Bible does not need interpretation. It is self-explaining and defining and anyone can take the challenge and find out for themselves.
Jesus-the Christ
Each of us as individuals have the opportunity to become spiritual and a child of God like Jesus IF and ONLY IF we seek, and then do God's will. We start with receiving the Word as true, as it is written in the Bible, and not some interpretation to suit us. Then we ask for and receive the Holy Spirit, i.e., the comforter-the spirit of truth, who will teach us all things!
When we become born again, as a child of God- spiritual, our will of man then becomes the will of Jesus the man because His spirit is the Word and our spirit becomes reborn by and through the Word, i.e., through Him as SPIRIT. Those that are true born again Christians are part of the body of Christ, and their spirit (i.e., their inner man) is renewed by the Word of God. If our born again spirit, i.e., our will, does not line up with the will of Jesus, i.e., the Word, as governed by the mind of Christ and not our carnal mind, then we are not part of the body of Christ and the Word is not in us.
The dispute is then over the Bible. Those that are His believe the Bible is the Word of God and live by the New Testament and NOT the old. Those that aren't His seek to interpret the Bible in order to make it easier on their own flesh and avoid suffering, and this is called justifying the flesh. Therefore, many preach a doctrine of convenient or cheap grace so that sin may abound, and not for grace to abound. Being born again requires the flesh to die daily to the will of the flesh. I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 1 Corinthians 15:31. See also,
2 Corinthians 4:8-18.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. John 5:19.
The spirit of Jesus was and is the Word, thus Jesus "sees" the spirit by and through the Word which He is, AND the Holy Spirit bearing witness with His Spirit.
Being born again allows the Word to renew our inner man with the will of God day by day, and yet our will does not leave us for it still has to choose to make our body DO the things of God according to the will of God, or it will choose carnally the things of the flesh according to the will of the flesh!
Jesus is the Word!
The very spirit of Jesus the Christ is the Word of God.
The spirit of man is his will, and Jesus was a man. Thus, the will of Jesus is the Word of God. We live by His inner man, i.e., the Word making us born again IN HIM, renewed, with the Spirit, i.e., the Word! When we are born again, our spirit/will then becomes like that of Jesus while he lived on this earth as a man. This is why Christians are said to be part of the " body of Christ", and we crucify our own flesh by denying it the will of the flesh.
Jesus was a man and yet His spirit was and is part of the spirit of God as manifested in the Word of God. He did not have to die for us, but He chose to honor the Father's will by making His flesh obey in accordance with the Word. That is, the Old Testament spoke of the coming of the Messiah and the crucifixion of Him. With His spirit as the Word, Jesus knew His eventual fate was the cross, but He still had to go through with it!
Jesus the Man
Jesus said: ...Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19, see also Matthew 19:17.
Jesus could do nothing more than a fleshly man if He pursued the will of His flesh. The flesh of Jesus was not comfortable with going to the cross! In fact, prior to his crucifixion Jesus prayed: ...Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Luke 22:42.
The Bible says his sweat was "as great drops of blood." He sweated blood-like sweat through the anguish He was feeling because of the attack by the will of His flesh and the associated anxiety. His body was trying to forcibly rebel and reject the will of God which He had chosen. Jesus prayed several times and the Father strengthened Him to endure. Without Jesus being a man equipped like us, he could not have taken our sin on Him as per God's will, and fulfilled the promises in the Word that were given to the Jews by and through their law and their prophets of the Old Testament. This is precisely why we live in the NEW Testament and NEW testament times.
As a man, Jesus knew and lived by the distinction between flesh and spirit (i.e., or "spirituals"-things of the spirit), and so should we. Think of His flesh body as the necessary means by which God can speak to humans who are not reborn spiritually, including those claiming to be saved, but having no affiliation of SPIRIT. Thus, the Bible is of utmost importance to all!
God is a spirit and the spirit of Jesus is part of God, but as a man, Jesus was able to construct words and sentences, act and speak to men and women so they could hear what God was wanting to tell them according to God's will. Of course, God used other prophets to teach us and Jesus Himself chose Paul as a "chosen servant", but only one is the sacrifice for us and that is Christ! In short, we could relate to Jesus as a man and yet honor Him as part of God because His spirit is the Word from the Father.
Where do we begin? With the Word preferably as set forth in the King James Bible-the free public domain Bible text for the planet.

Remember, Jesus was sent as the fulfillment of the Old Testament (Old Covenant) meaning everything was finished and the New Covenant was set to be put in place and did start when Jesus was raised from the dead by the Father.
Jesus and the Will of His Flesh
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:41-44.
Jesus still had to exercise His will to be obedient to the Father's will. Remember, Jesus perspired as drops of blood before surrendering to the men who would crucify Him, and Jesus had to pray three times asking the Father for another way! Jesus had a will of the flesh!
Jesus said: But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. Matthew 21:28-32.
Man's own will, including the will of Jesus the man, forces him to choose between the will of God (i.e., that which pleases God in spirit) and the will of his own flesh (i.e., that which pleases his own flesh). We cannot know the will of God or make the right choice without the Word in us as our spirit/will, i.e., the inner man. Therefore, we CAN KNOW the will of our Father THROUGH our brother, friend, savior and Lord Jesus who is the Word of God as per the Bible, and that is BY THE WORD. Jesus lived the same way, for He knew it was the Word in Him that made Him one with the Father.
We do the Father's will by and through the baptism Jesus spoke of, i.e., the baptism of the SPIRIT! Jesus used His body according to the will of God and we must use ours similarly if we claim to be part of the Body of Christ!. Jesus knew the will of God the Father because the spirit of Jesus IS the Word of God. Thus, part of Him is most assuredly a statement of God's will for all men to live by especially when we consider God sent His son to show us! Even so, Jesus still had to DO IT by taking obedient charge of His flesh.
Jesus's Doctrine
Jesus answered them, and said: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. John 7:16-17.
The Holy Spirit is available for all men just as the Word is available to all men. The Word is a prerequisite to the Holy Spirit, for one can never receive the Holy Spirit in unbelief of the Word, and one can never do the will of God in their life personally without the Holy Spirit. The will of God comes to all men through the Word first and then to each man individually in the "doing part" through the Another Comforter which is the Holy Spirit.
Jesus's Parents
The parents of Jesus were: 1. God the Father (Spirit), and 2. man (human female, Mary). The flesh of Jesus took on the attributes of man, yet the spirit of Jesus (i.e., His inner man) stayed an attribute of God (i.e., His Word) from His birth, but it was the Holy Spirit that kicked off His ministry! That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9. Mary is no more a saint than anyone else who is led by the spirit of God to do His will.
To refresh, one parent of Jesus is therefore human (the human fleshly contribution by the woman, Mary). The other "parent" of Jesus is the Father God and thus spirit (the spirit contributed by the Father God when He combined His Word with the flesh when Jesus the human was conceived). No man or woman of today has flesh conceived by the spirit as a begotten son or daughter like Jesus. Jesus was and is the only begotten child of God of the Father having a human parent. No doubt, Jesus was a man, yet His flesh was the temple of His spirit (spiritual).
Jesus the Christ and His Spirit (i.e., His Will in His Inner Man)
Jesus is the WAY to live, for His spirit is and always has been the Word of God, AND He received the Holy Spirit of the Father which equipped Jesus with the power of God to DO all things using His flesh according to the Father's will. All men thereafter could be born again by believing on Jesus, but more directly, believing on the Word which is His spirit from God. The Word is the means by which we return to the Spirit, i.e., God, from our waywardness in this world.
We do NOT automatically know the will of the Father in Heaven as Jesus did because we are NOT spiritually begotten as Jesus was. We were conceived and born of two fleshly parents. When we become born again, the old inner man and his old spirit of man, i.e., the will of man, are reborn anew to a new inner man and thus a new spirit by the Word. The Word then is our spirit as being born again, and we should not deny the Word because it is our source of eternal life as those born again, yet we still struggle with the flesh as Jesus did. He was completely victorious, and we can be too, through His lifestyle.
Whether we live eternally or not is by our own choice, and the final disposition of our soul follows that choice, i.e., to live or die.
Justify the Flesh
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20. (Emphasis added). We know our sin by the law, and the law is part of the old testament, i.e., the old covenant. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. Romans 7:14. Our flesh is carnal and sold under sin. We are hopelessly and perilously associated with the flesh until death, but our inner man is not. It can be renewed every day if it is born again and living by the Word.
Justifying the flesh occurs when people say their sinful ways are not sin, OR their sin is okay because they have been forgiven and the penalty removed by grace. Many claim God purposefully and intentionally made them that way. To do so they also claim their sinful acts are not sin at all, but the will of God, and yet knowing all actions by God are righteous. Those making such claims to justify sin will be destroyed as a vessel of dishonor fitted for destruction according to God's will and plan. What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: Romans 9:22. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7.
Consider this: Is one person's flesh more justified than the other even though the Bible says NO flesh shall be justified by the deeds of the law, i.e., by any good things we do? Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:16.
The Bible says God may be withholding His wrath which will be made manifest in the unbeliever when He destroys evil and them as part of it. There is no in between, because there is NO UNRIGHTEOUSNESS with GOD. If you don't believe God would make you a vessel unto dishonor to be destroyed, then consider this: God made Pilate have control over the life of Jesus, the Pharaoh have power over the children of Israel for years and years, and Jesus chose Judas to betray Him,... thus, why is it that you think you may not be made a vessel unto dishonor to be destroyed?
If we as people cling to our worldly lives we have chosen, we then cling to the sinfulness of them. Still, many people claim they are powerless to change and overlook deliverance while continuing to revel in their chosen lifestyle devoid of the pursuit of God's will, and avoiding the fleshly sufferings associated with repentance from sin and dead works.
What a person believes has no relationship to the sanctity of the truth, unless what they believe is the truth. No flesh is justified, and any clinging to any fleshly orientation or disposition is an exercise of one's own will to pursue the will of their flesh and not God. Becoming born again transforms our inner man, i.e., our will of man, to the Word and thus we seek the things of God as Jesus did as part of the body of Christ!
Kingdom refers to the domain or sovereignty of the domain.
Life in the Spirit
Jesus is the example by which all humans should live. It is not only possible, but stated as a fact by Jesus Himself!!!!
John 14:26.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. John 16:7-11.
The Holy Spirit is available for all men just as the Word is available to all men. Jesus said: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13
The Word is a prerequisite to the Holy Spirit, for one can never receive the Holy Spirit in unbelief of the Word as written in the Bible. In addition to that which is God's will for all men as set forth in the Word, i.e., the Bible, nobody can do the will of God for their own personal life without the Holy Spirit power of God. The will of God comes to all men through the Word first, and then to each man individually in the administration, i.e., the "doing part" through the Another Comforter ,which is the Holy Spirit.
Paul said: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11.
We start with this: MAKE YOUR LIFE THE WORD! RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR THE ASKING, and THEN find the will of God for you and DO IT! Expect to endure suffering in the flesh because worldly people will persecute you, and while your reward is heaven in the end, have compassion on them that persecute, because before being born again we were all of the world!
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:16-18. (Emphasis added).
Once you have accepted Christ as your savior, i.e., by making the Word become your will-your inner man is born again and your spirit/will IS the Word! Unless you are moments away from death ask for and receive the Holy Spirit to be your comforter in living out your life. The Holy Spirit will be your sanctification (sealed) ,securing grace for you as a child of God in case your flesh messes up. Now you are ready to grow in the word and in the body of Christ pleasing the Father by what you do!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Therefore, we must:
Step 1. Tear down the brainwashed control of the "old man" and his religious and fleshly ways, including the religious doctrines we were taught in our childhood , if they disagree with the Bible as written and NOT as changed or modified under the guise of interpretation. Then allow the Word to reign in us as our born again will with understanding and appreciation of our reconciliation toward God. This means we must have the ears to hear and become equipped to unlock the mysteries of the kingdom of God. Remember, nobody can do it for you, not even your priest, pastor, minister, spiritual guide...nobody!
Step 2. Remove the Sinner's Badge from your chest forever, and be continually held accountable as the light of the world, not as being judgmental or condemning of our brethren, but seeking the excellence in ourselves-each as part of the body of Christ to the edifying of all others.
Step 3. Repent for mistakes and seek deliverance where needed. Always fully accepting forgiveness for our errors along the way to keep going, while those that have abundance provide for those with lack so there is nothing over and no lack!
Lifestyle
The old man's life, i.e., the lifestyle of the sinner (i.e., one whose will chooses the will of the flesh by default) passes away and a new lifestyle of the born again in Christ lives when our inner man, i.e., our will, becomes the will of Jesus, i.e., the Word, which is His spirit/will. For our flesh, a born again lifestyle means a death to the will of our flesh. Not physical death, but a death to the will and desires of the flesh that tend to control us by default.
But why then do people claiming to be "saved" insist on retaining their own design for their life, i.e., their old man, rather than a living willingness and desire to abandon their own choice of lifestyle, and accept the design God has made for them? The answer is the control of our flesh, and the yielding to its desires and lusts. Many people do not believe the SPIRIT will deliver them from sin, and yet His Word is the door to the spirit life, and the Holy Spirit is the power of God to do anything He asks! Nothing is impossible for God, and nothing is impossible to him that believes, provided of course, that which someone believes is of the truth. The non-believer of the Bible never knows this truth!
Why do the self-righteous justify their disobedience by blasphemously saying it is God's will, and "...once saved always saved no matter what...", when the book of Revelation speaks of getting one's name blotted out of the book of life? Easy, they are not born again, they are not spiritual and seek to remain carnal! (Revelation 3:5 says: He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.)
To listen to Jesus is not merely an exercise of body for the listener, but one of the heart, of trust, of desire to seek the truth in understanding, and to live in the Word as He lived. Love for Him is required to hear Him just as it is to "hear" anyone, and not merely their words, but the meaning of them. Life in the spirit comes by and through the New Testament, i.e., the New Covenant of the Word, a spiritual covenant/commandment.
We must, through the SPIRIT, mortify the deeds of our body. What are the deeds of your body? Are they future deeds, and the stuff we like to do with our flesh going forward, or are they the past deeds? They are BOTH! The deeds of the body are past deeds and the future deeds. That is the "old man" if it is not born again.
Therefore, we must choose a path by which to live. We may choose either the broad path of the life in this world and whatever we desire in the flesh to satisfy ourselves, or the narrow path of the SPIRIT, which is a life according to the will of our Father by and through the spirit to satisfy our Father. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:7-8.
If we try to choose both, i.e., a life in the world to fulfill the will of the flesh AND a life in the spirit to please God, we displease God and remain double-minded.
Love
God is LOVE! God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24. (Emphasis added).
God's love is spiritual, because God is love and God is SPIRIT. Originally, as an infant, our spirit within our soul is filled with hunger for true love. It is our parents and the world that begin replacing the hunger for things that are true, pure, and full of love of God with the worldly and the fleshly (i.e., human) kind of love, which is carnal. This is where the notion of sin in our flesh begins to grow as it grows friendly with the world. This understanding is huge if we are to raise our children properly.
Unfortunately, tragedy or turmoil in a person's life is often the measuring stick by which they consider the love of God. A hardened heart is often the by-product of a difficult fleshly life growing up, and the enemy likes it that way. Make no mistake, the enemy and friendship of the world will destroy. Many people have been hurt in their fleshly life, and cannot enjoy the love of God, for they do not know how to separate the love of God from the love of man, which has failed them in the past.
For example, to love a family member who has wronged you many times may be hard to the flesh, but easy to the born again with a heart of love toward God. Yet, we do not accept or condone a loved one's attempt at dividing us from the Word. It is the Word that causes division between the spiritual and carnal, and we who are the born again always choose the spiritual side with the Word!
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Luke 12:51-53.
With that said, do people really think there can be complete fleshly harmony in any family, when part of them receive and choose to follow the Word for their life much to the displeasure of those that disapprove?
We must come to know the love of God. God's spiritual love is eternal and never fails, while man's carnal fleshly love fails. God sent the Word to us as His love wrapped in the flesh of Jesus. Yet, people avoid the Word while still claiming God's love and being a Christian, but this cannot be. Anyone avoiding the Word, including those seeking to change the Word to suit themselves, while calling it interpretation, is rejecting the love of God in Christ Jesus, and want a different God than the almighty! The New Testament, which is the New Covenant brought to us by Jesus, is also set forth in the Bible, and it IS the promise of eternal life from God the Father, who fulfilled that promise in Jesus according to His Word as set forth in the testament!
Love and Sin
With the love of God, but more appropriately with the appreciation of the love of God, we are then more easily able to live life in accordance with the mind of Christ and the Will of God the Father as the born again. The fleshly struggles are minute in comparison to the greatness of the Father who delivers us from our carnal mind and fleshly desires of our body. Interestingly, the pure and righteous accept the Word and God as almighty without analysis, but for those of us from a more worldly background it takes more work to "unlearn" the will of our flesh, and make it die by replacing it, through surrender to God, with the best habits and actions-those worthy of a child of the King.
For one to say, " Love covers a multitude of sins," means God's love, not ours! Our love overlooks sin and calls it okay. This is the carnal love of man that fails. God's love does not overlook sin, but He provided the remedy for it and the means by which to live a fruitful life serving Him and avoiding it. Jesus gave His own life in love to bring this about. Thus, the covering of a multitude of sins is NOT by carnal human love. God expects repentance, while humans are apathetic, carnal, and unbelieving and do not expect repentance.
One can cover sin with love by showing the sinful their error, and this is what all who are born again are to do for one another. This assumes a heart desirous of the truth even if the flesh may suffer. Yet, there are those that will not hear and choose rebellion against the Word and truth. For in this world it is more common for the flesh nature of people to choose sin over suffering. A born again life means born of the spirit, and requires another lifestyle entirely different from the carnal.
Knowing the difference between the flesh and spirit is crucial to the foundation of Christ and living born again. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6.
Showing love is NOT acceptance of sin so that grace may abound, nor is it condemnation of the obstinate sinner. Love is the patience to know it is God who delivers the sinner from his ways, for He and He alone in His entirety is love! Through the truth by His Word, His Holy Spirit and the power of them both, we can come to know the Father, and to do His will for our lives and please Him! However, many people simply do not want God close to them because of their unrighteousness which they do not wish to face. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, because all of the unrighteousness a person covers up will be revealed as theirs, and not His!
ALL that is needed is a surrender to God for the truth, and God the Father Himself will offer the guide to repentance through His Word and Holy Spirit! For us, the truth must be presented as Jesus presented it. For those with a bogus doctrine that allows a churchy "feel good, and don't offend with the truth or people won't give you money" brand of gospel, repentance of sin is an unpopular message.
Jesus delivered the truth and even harshly at times as the spirit led Him. We must allow the Lord to use our patience and love to assist in the Lord's deliverance of ourselves from our old ways and others from their old ways, too. We must never make ourselves unavailable or useless to the task of servant of the Lord, for then we have disavowed the born again nature, which is ours as a gift from Him, and not something earned.
And he [Jesus] said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:20-23.
Love of Money
Money is the tool and device to obtain anything in this world, even human love or a mate. The will of man exists within the soul of man, and is tied to that which he loves. For out of the heart of man comes whatever he desires, and yet, it is man's will that surrenders himself to that which he loves. If our love is for the things of the flesh or of this world, we then surrender ourselves to money by the yielding of our inner man, i.e., our will to the will of the flesh and it's carnal desires. A love for carnal things leads to the love of money, since every carnal desire can be satisfied with money here in this world. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10. (Emphasis added).
Mammon
Man
Man is a living soul. He has a spirit and lives in a flesh body. Stated another way, man is comprised of spirit, soul and body. Our soul was created by God and God alone! Our body was created by our parents by virtue of their ability to reproduce. In that body, God deposited our soul. In the still born, God did not deposit a soul, but left it to the flesh alone. For anyone to say God made their flesh mocks God.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (Emphasis added).
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12. (Emphasis added).
Man's Body (see also Flesh)
The term "body" means the natural, physical, material structure of an organized collection of matter or organism. A human "natural" body is the physical collection of the skin, bones, blood, hair, brain, guts, etc., and this is collectively and individually called "flesh" depending upon the context. Thus, ALL humans (Jesus, too) have the same type of flesh, albeit different in appearance. The term "natural man" or "natural body" as used in the Bible, means a man's fleshly body AND its inherent mammalian tendencies existing at birth.
The man "beast" eats, drinks, reproduces and conquers, etc. The flesh of man, i.e., the natural man, includes all those things people claim as genetic traits existing at birth. The genes determine the structure of the flesh, and the tendencies of genetic traits extend to the fleshly orientation. Those tendencies are nurtured and further expanded by the teachings of our parents and the world around us, and the growth of our flesh is fed by them. We gravitate toward others with similar tendencies, and are consoled with understanding from those friends. For example, as a child, a person does not know how to engage in any sexual act. Over time, the lusts and desires of the flesh bring about a type of curiosity that is given in to, hopefully at the right time, i.e., after marriage between a man and woman. However, the world promotes sexual promiscuity of all types.
If certain actions, such as homosexuality, fornication, adultery, lust...are sins against the body, and are choices as the Bible says they are, we must be reminded that our bodies are supposed to be the temples of God, as part of the body of Christ when we are born again.
Man's Soul
The soul is our "life", plain and simple, and contains our spirit, i.e., our will is housed within it. Who we are, changes to who we wish to become, based on the will which is the inner man residing in our soul. The life in us is originally from God, and the faith that our heart will beat and bodily systems will work is that measure of faith that all men have. Our soul/life is the only thing we can possess and truly own as personal property of each of us because it is our will that governs it. Nobody can take it from us.
When our flesh dies, our soul shall live forever in heaven, or die forever in hell as a second death where there is no time. Many debate this issue and for what purpose? People question whether or not the soul lives forever. If God made it, it is up to Him to destroy it or not. Hell is the place where the soul of the unrepentant and carnal perish forever as a second death as per God's Word. The souls of His children live forever in heaven, and the souls that are not His die forever in hell.

Man's spirit is "housed within" his soul, and is his will which is the inner man. Man may then become born again by receiving the spirit of Christ in himself, i.e., the Word, which is part of God's will, or man may stay carnal and live by the will, desires, and lusts of his own flesh. In short, man may choose to live forever in the love of God, or die the second death with his human flesh. This ability to choose may embrace a life according to the will of the Father in heaven at any and all costs, or according to man's own design, and yet we pursue what we love. Our inner man becomes born again or not, and dies a second death.
Man's Desire
The natural attractant, i.e., the default choice, for man is the desire of his flesh and the will thereof because of the feel good factor, i.e., the power, pleasure and the pursuit of it. Stated another way, the default choice for man is to follow the will of his own flesh, which is sinful. The doctrine of Jesus is to do Gods' will.
Nobody knows when they will die, or when Christ will return to retrieve the children of God and take them home. The here and now of heaven is the SPIRIT, for those that are truly born again IN THE SPIRIT, for the Spirit IS the Kingdom of God and Jesus is the door! The flesh "here and now" is this world. The choice we make while our flesh lives, controls our destiny forever, and this makes complete sense.
We choose, by our own will, to live according to our born again life or our current life in this world, and that is guided by our own sense of what we love. The flesh and spirit of the born again war against each other in man's choice of how to live. We either live for the here and now of the world, OR the Kingdom of God and what awaits us- heaven. The choice is crucial, because the choice is the commitment of our own soul forever!
Man and God
God made man and your parents carried out the reproductive cycle by the ability that God created in the flesh of man. The answer to the "God made me this way" excuse for sin is to follow the reasoning of the sinful seeking to justify the deeds of their flesh. However, if there is no unrighteousness with God, and if He made a sinner sinful, then a sinner is righteous, and the sin is righteousness, and this cannot be.
Jesus said to pray, "Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven," (Matthew 6:10 and Luke 11:2), but people forget what comes before that sentence, "Thy Kingdom come," which is the spiritual life. Thus the spiritual life precedes the will of God being done, which is done by us, not God, since God already knows His own will, and can do it without a problem. It is us that have a problem with our flesh getting in the way of knowing, and/or doing God's will.
Therefore, man's will is but a choice to do this or that according to his own desires. God gave man the power to do as he wanted and to choose his lifestyle. Those that choose to do the will of God are the children of God in spirit, and those that choose to do their own will over God's will are the children of the devil in the spirit of the world. Thus, there are three wills at stake, i.e., your will of man, the will of your own flesh, and God's will. See John 1:13.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:16 ...And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 1 John 5:6.
When we become alive in spirit, the Word is part of us as our inner man, born again in spirit/will by the Word! We then use our body as Jesus would use it as His own, which means being part of the body of Christ. Our new life is the beginning of an eternal life. This new life comes at a price. We must forego the fleshly desires that are fed by the carnal mind leading us to sin.
We repent and cease from sin, including covetousness (greed), idolatry of things, and much more by doing whatever it takes to avoid sin, and then we find we cannot overcome it all on our own. It is here where we begin to grow in the Word and towards the Father as our Father. A life for God according to the will of the Father means servitude to Him, not out of obligation, but out of LOVE for Him as a Father. Tell that to a rich man and see what happens. People reject the notion of serving God because it does not feed their flesh.
Man's Wisdom
The Word is not revealed by the wisdom of man, but only by the Spirit. People read the Bible all the time, but if they do not read it desiring to find truth, they will not ever get it. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, and the Word is true. They are related! Some Bible translations, like some doctrinal religions or denominations thereof, hide the meaning of the Word from people. Simply compare the New Testament of the more modern "translations" to the New Testament of the original King James Version, and see for yourself how the Word has been muted. Translations, doctrinal religions, and denominations thereof should be avoided because they confuse and obstruct the working of the Spirit.
Measure of Faith (Measure of Faith)
The measure of faith is the action behind our belief in knowing that this living carcass is alive because of God, and God is love. Man's ability to choose God's will is the right choice, for he then chooses the source of his own life from the beginning.
Mind of Christ
The "mind of Christ" is the mind that was and is in Jesus the Christ, and that is to do God's will ONLY! His mind was governed by His spirit, i.e., His will-the Word of God. We can and must do the same by the rebirth of our inner man to the Word as our own spirit/will, i.e., by making the Word our will! The mind of Christ operates in the world, but minds the things of the spirit.
The carnal mind is connected to the flesh as a brain, but the born again have the mind of Christ which uses that same brain to direct the body into the obedient service of God. Thus, the will of one's flesh and the carnal mind act in concert with one another as a natural man to breed destruction.
1 Corinthians 2:14-16.
.
Ministry
The office, duties or functions of a subordinate agent of any kind. (Definition from Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary)
Nation refers to the existence of the collection of people inhabiting a location with attributes of sovereignty for governance.
New Testament (New Covenant)
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. John 22:37-40.
Obedience is and has always been the requirement to please a parent of our flesh, and the same holds true in spirit for our Father in heaven. We do so out of LOVE for them. Is this the same love? God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24. This is where our love for God shows.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21.
Because the source of love differs, carnal (human) love or spiritual (Godly) love, so too does the root of obedience in each of us. The source of our obedience to God and parents is associated with the nature of our love. The born again children of God are spiritually minded with the eternal destiny of people including their earthly, fleshly, mom or dad, as most important. The born again children of God do not trade the truth for fleshly harmony, but the world emphasizes harmony. The way of the world is to cover sin with untruth, and move people to becoming a friend of the world, when such friendship is the enemy of God.
Jesus said, those who do the will of the Father are His brother and sister and mother. Many self-professing Christians CLAIM obedience to the will of God, yet KNOW they are disobedient because they do not love Him, i.e., they do not love His Word as written in the Bible!
Old Testament (Old Covenant)
ALL of the "Law" (the first five books of the Holy Bible), AND all of the writings of the prophets in the Old Testament, hang on and depend on LOVE.
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:36-40.
One Mind - One Accord
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:3-7.
Your spirit, i.e., your will of man, is either following the lusts/desires of your flesh which is called the will of the flesh, or the Word in you as born again, which is part of the will of God. These are the three wills, i.e., the will of the flesh, the will of man, and the will of God. If you are Born Again then your spirit is the Word through Christ, and we seek to live like Jesus. The will is the inner man in each of us and it follows either the Word, which is a statement of the Will of God for the born again, or the will of the flesh for the lost. You may make your will become the will of God by believing on Jesus and receiving what He says as truth, and this is confirmed by and through the Holy Spirit of the Father. Many do not have the desire to do it and cling to their flesh forever, and die the second death forever!
Parents
Paul
Paul initially persecuted those that believed in Jesus and did many evil things to them, yet the Lord, willing to show His power, chose Paul to preach and teach. Paul was a chosen vessel for Jesus, to bring the gospel to the Gentiles, kings of the world, and the Jews.
Peace on Earth, Division
Jesus said: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 10:34-39
Ransom for Sin
Jesus died as a ransom for your sins, not just for the penalty, but a ransom. He paid for your bondage/captivity to those sins, and because he paid the price you are able to be set free, IF you want to be free. If we always profess to be a sinner, where is our claim to victory over sin through Christ? That is the point! The spirit of Jesus Christ is the Word of God, and it is written in the Bible and it becomes ours by the New Covenant. You can be made free!
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27.
Religion is a product of man's will to satisfy his flesh with a doctrine! We must know that the grace doctrine taught in many congregations today and advocated by many churchy people is actually MERCY. God is mercifully withholding his WRATH on the unbeliever until later! What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: Romans 9:22.
Remember, the spirit of Christ IS the Word of God! The Spirit of God is the Word, the Holy Spirit and the Father, i.e., the trinity. Nobody can live properly before God and do His will without His spirit, not even Jesus could do it!
The mercy and compassion are on people in the above verse, and thus it is God's choice who receives mercy and compassion.
Repentance is a TURNING from sin, and not concocting a more elaborate justification of one's own fleshly self to make way for sin. The "saved" are disciples of Christ. Man started the name Christian as a nickname for the disciples of Christ. The devil believes Jesus is the Christ and the devil is NOT a follower. Thus, Christians MUST first be disciples before they can become Christians ...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26.
In the parable of the wayward (lost) son in the Bible (see Luke 15:11-32), the wayward son departs from the family with his share of the family wealth. When the departing son returns, he remains a son because of his return and reconciliation with his Father through repentance by his return. He who is part of the family receives the same status he had before he went astray, provided he returns through repentance (i.e., turning from sin and not just confessing it).
People return to God from their waywardness through repentance and acceptance of the Father's will by which to live, and our example of how to live righteously is Jesus the man. The wayward son may also be one who claims to be saved yet lives a life in the flesh and the pursuits thereof, and then returns to the truth and the spirit to do God's will.
Why do people seek to justify the acts of their sinful flesh to avoid repentance, which means confession AND a turning away from that sin? The answer is simple. Many want the salvation of the cross without the suffering of the flesh, but this is not possible. This is not a born again life. Jesus said: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21.
God destroys sin and death in the lake of fire in the end. Those who do not live a life of repentance and cease defending their sin shall be destroyed as being attached to their sin. God does not want you to be destroyed, so He sent Jesus, i.e., the minister of the Word, for everyone to find a Way to live forever and not die. Those who reject the Word, then reject God as their Father because they are one, i.e., the Word and the Father are one!
Royal Family
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. Mark 3:35. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:50.
Sacrifice
In the Old Testament times when the Old Covenant was active, the Children of God were the Jews and ONLY the Jews, who obediently observed the Law and the associated sacrifices and rituals contained therein. The Gentiles were everybody other than the Jews to whom the Law was given.
The sacrifices of the Jews were designed to shed the blood of an animal to the eventual death of that animal. Before the animal was sacrificed, the sins of man were placed on that animal by the priest(s) overseeing the people. The system of sacrifices depended upon God's promise of the passing of the sins of the people to the sacrificial animal, and the shedding of blood of that animal to death removed those sins from the people, i.e., the atonement. An animal/mammal not subject or privy to human sins was used as a sacrifice for them. The sacrifices were done continually year-to-year without a foreseeable end because the sacrifice itself was not of the same quality as man himself since the flesh of man is not an animal, although he is carnal, too.
Then, the Jewish prophets foretold of the coming of Christ, who would save the world from their sins, and that He would be "Emmanuel" meaning "God with us", all the while the Jews dutifully continued their sacrifices. Jesus was sinless, and though he knew no sin, i.e., was not privy to sin, He was subject to it as a man. Jesus was Emmanuel, a sinless man, and this was possible because His very spirit, i.e., His inner man- His will, was and is the very Word of God the Father and therefore, included the Old Covenant as well. At the desire of the Chief Priest that Jesus should be killed, and at the request of the Jewish people, the Romans (i.e., Gentiles) crucified the Christ. Thus, at the command of the Jews, and by their word the Gentiles were now part of their sacrifices!
Either the Jews knew or did not know Jesus was the Christ, when they desired and ordered him crucified. Because Jesus was a man and not an animal, His death was and is the ultimate of all sacrifices, and yet Jews must disavow Jesus was the Christ and their Messiah or face the truth they knowingly had Him crucified/sacrificed for the good of the people. This is a definite rock and hard place even today. The answer, of course, is to admit the error by confession, repent of the lies, receive the New Covenant of the Word and Holy Spirit individually and be saved, but pride and a haughty spirit will be the demise of many of them.
The reason Jesus could become the sacrifice for all mankind is not merely because He was crucified at the behest of the Jews, He was a man of like quality as sinful man. He was Emmanuel the Messiah for the Jews and the World, because God initially gave the world and everything in it to man, who afterward sinned and lost is all to the enemy, i.e., the god (small "g" of this world). Jesus, as the sacrifice for the sins of the world which God loved (John 3:16), got it all back for those that are His. But note, the earth itself cannot be renewed and remains in the possession of the god (small "g" intended) of this world until the very end, because there are still people living in this world that are the children of the devil, claiming the world as their own and lawfully having a right to be here.
The fulfillment of the very purpose of the Old Testament was completed in Christ and His resurrection. The New Testament (i.e., the new binding promise of God) began in spirit when the Father raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Father's Holy Spirit, thereby proving everything in the Word is true. The Bible contains the Word and we must believe in order to receive the love of God and all that He has for us. The children of the devil don't believe it and resort to excuses like: "the Bible must be fallible because it was written by men" etc., and this is part of the spirit of the world today because of the enemy.
And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:15-16
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9.
The "saved" in the church are those that are willing to give up their own choice of a fleshly life and be dead to their own fleshly desires. Man has his own will, and there is competition between the will of his flesh and the will of God (i.e., Three Wills) for those that claim to be saved. It is by the Word that we are delivered from the overpowering will of the flesh. Being " saved" requires repentance to allow the Word to enter and make us born again.
Being "born again" means you do not want to do what you did before as the old person. However, many like what they are doing so much they forego belief in the Word, becoming born again, and receiving the greater reward- heaven. This is so because many want the salvation of the cross without the suffering of the flesh. Salvation is not cheap! It cost Jesus His life, and it will cost you your fleshly lifestyle!
They like the idea of the "free gift" of salvation without living like they have received it. Some begin a life of churchy works of their own accord, which mean nothing unless they are the will of God, and most certainly NOT all churchly works are the will of God! Many people also claim to be saved without claiming to be " born again" or they scoff at the premise of being born again. Thus showing their own prideful lack of knowledge, but how can this be? Easy! People in the flesh don't like suffering according to the Word and choose disobedience and sin instead, because the way of the world is easier. One day, many will learn it is mercy and not grace they were living under!
Are there few that will be saved? Jesus answered this exact question and He said: Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. Luke 13:23-28.
The gnashing of teeth is also the anger of some at being left behind while they cling to their own false doctrine of what they believe salvation should be, but is not. Living a life relying on an abundant or a "convenient" grace doctrine without doing anything to control one's own flesh is not the fruit of the spirit or the born again life! Yes, we are saved by grace THROUGH faith (see, Ephesians 2:8), but then we walk in faith and live in faith. What we give up and endure is part of our path to salvation. As a result we do not do the same things we did before. The Bible says "by their fruits you shall know them" referring to the false prophets and teachers, and thus anybody advocating another "way" is a thief and a robber as Jesus said.
Those that are the saved, i.e., born again into eternal life, would choose suffering and death of the flesh over sinful disobedience to God. If you are saved you will suffer for the Lord, and rejoice because of it!
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13.
Second Death
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20:14 (Emphasis added).
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8 (Emphasis added).
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11 (Emphasis added).
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6 (Emphasis added).
A child of God does not need a seminary education to fellowship and communicate with God in SPIRIT, yet many from the seminaries have little understanding of the spirit. Some even denounce the availability of the Holy Spirit for men other than the original apostles. Such a position is not only dangerous, but damning, and should never be advocated because it is directly contrary to the Bible and the truth. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:3.
Scripture
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Sin
Your flesh and mine has been used as the enemy's device. And while we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, we must not seek to continue in sin or choose to remain there. Sinners do not get God's grace if they want to remain sinners, but they may get His mercy temporarily as we all have gotten and do get.
Nobody goes forward with God without a penitent heart, otherwise they are unrepentant and wish to remain a sinner, not receiving the gift of God, i.e., the Word. The Word changes our will, i.e., our inner man, because the Word is the love of God, and we then live for it and find His will.
Sinful
Many people like their sin, and want to keep it so they wear the sinner's badge as an excuse for not trying to " go and sin no more". The Bible says if you are born again, you are no longer your own! You were bought with a price, i.e., the life of Jesus! To allow yourself to be defeated by sin and claim, "Oh well, we are all sinners anyway," is to live a lie. God's will is for us to choose to live by His will as per the doctrine of Jesus, and Jesus said so in John 7:17 ( If any man will DO his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.)(Emphasis added.).
So, do we intentionally sin relying on some cheap grace (counterfeit love) doctrine to excuse it? God forbid, yet the corporate religious institutions of today teach cheap grace in abundance by saying: "Once a sinner always a sinner", "Once saved always saved no matter what", or "Love and kindness" without ever mentioning the need for repentance. This is flat wrong, if it does not stress repentance and the need for it and Him!
Sinner
Have we all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God? YES. Are we all sinners? No and yes. In the context of being born again the answer is no. Sinners do not enter heaven. Do we find ourselves doing those things which we would rather not do? Sure, because we have flesh, and it has lusts and desires that make it hard to reject the will of our flesh and pursue God's will instead, but we DO NOT stay bound by sin unless we like it, OR we do not believe the Word and what Jesus said!
We may not be able to overcome the slavery to sin of our flesh with our own strength, i.e., change our conduct using our own strength and desire, but the price Jesus paid with His own life as a ransom for our lives begins the reconciliation, provided we cast our cares on HIM-the Word! Eat and drink the Word for it is life eternal!
SPIRIT
(Note: Everywhere the term "SPIRIT" is used in all capitalized letters, it means the collective perfection of God, i.e., the trinity as it dwells in us and our actions.)
Thus, the SPIRIT, means the state of being that is of God and God's alone. The "SPIRIT" as it refers to God is one Spirit and it is Holy. References in the Bible in the proper context refer to the collection of the spiritual aspects of God in the trinity, namely, the Father by and through His will, the Holy Spirit by and through His power behind His will, and the Word by and through the Christ Jesus. Those that live in the SPIRIT are the children of God!
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13.
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Ephesians 2:18
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Ephesians 4:4
Spiritual
Our spirit resides in our heart situated within our soul. Our heart is that place where love resides. The inner man is the will of man. The will of man chooses the will of the flesh unless he is born again at which time his spirit is supplanted by the will of God in the Word which is the spirit of the man Jesus. Therefore, the born again man receives the spirit of Christ, i.e., the Word of God and then the will of man asks for and receives the Holy Spirit as part of the will of God. Thereafter, the born again, sanctified man must seek to choose the things of God over the things of the flesh. Our love for Jesus causes us to choose the things of God. This is spiritual. Salvation is through faith and this is where we can accept the life of Christ as human like us, and spiritual like God the Father when we make the life of Jesus, i.e., His Spirit which is the Word, ours to continue forever as the "born again" because Jesus then knows us as His.

Suffering in the flesh is on the pathway to salvation, and is to be expected when we choose to forsake sin. In fact, suffering is often required because it is the link to this world which we then forsake, and yet our flesh lets us know it is not happy with our righteous choice. The New Testament (i.e., the New Covenant) is perfectly clear on this point! If you do not suffer in the flesh for the pursuit of righteousness and freedom from your sin, you are not living as part of the body of Christ, and the body of Christ IS the church as per the Bible.
Three Wills
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13. (Emphasis added).
From above we have: will of the flesh, will of man, and of course the ever existing will of God. The will of man chooses to live by the will of his flesh and what the flesh wants, OR the will of God and what God wants! The same rules applied to Jesus and He prayed "...not my will, but thine be done" before they took him to be crucified. From Ephesians 2:3 we find this phrase: "...the desires of the flesh and of the mind..." and this is the will of the flesh.
We struggle against sin because we were given the authority to choose to surrender to our fleshly will and its desires, or the will and desires of God the Father because of our love for Him. We choose between the things of this world (our own fleshly carnal things) and the things of God (spiritual things), but our choice follows what we love.
The eternal disposition of our soul depends on the surrender associated with this choice, i.e., born again living or living like the old sinner. Sure the gift of salvation is free to receive, but we are bought by it and thus the cost is our old life, i.e., our old man which is the will of our flesh. For we who are His were bought with a price, and are not our own any longer.
Recall the children's story titled "The Emperor's New Clothes" by Hans Christian Anderson where only the "most noble", and those that were not stupid could "see" the "royal suit" where there actually was none, until a child in the crowd speaking the truth where adults could not, said "He's Naked", and yet the prideful emperor continued on as if he was clothed.
The mystique of a doctrinal religion taught by men that purportedly covers the body of Christ is like the emperor's royal clothes for a blind church. It is time for all people to say "The emperor is naked!" and learn of the SPIRIT personally, and congregate in one mind and one accord throughout the world wherever you choose to worship and are led as a servant!
Unbeliever
If you choose to believe the Bible is wrong or requires interpretation and therefore not trust in the truth of the Bible as written, you shall continue in your sin. By the Bible and what it contains, we come to know sin. If a person comes to know their actions as sin, and continues in sin as if it were okay, that person is declaring their acts righteous, which is contrary to the Bible.
The unbeliever may also claim the Bible must be wrong, incomplete, or outdated, and not capable of understanding how it is now in this time, saying: "After all, the Bible was written by men years ago," being the most common argument. But if proven wrong by the Word, then comes the plea: "But wait, you don't understand, I don't believe God would play some trick on me, the way I am is all I have ever known and thus it is who I am"...
The fact is, people who reject the Bible and God's Word as it is written, do not like the Word, and do not want to believe it. The issue is no more complex than that.
Wayward Son
The wayward son can be one who claims to be saved yet lives a worldly life and the pursuits thereof, and then returns to the truth and the SPIRIT-to do God's will. Doing God's will means doing the works Jesus did as Jesus said we would according to the Father's will. Unfortunately for some, there will be a rude awakening when they find out not all churchy stuff is God's will.
Will
Will of the Flesh
It is impossible for us to please God in the flesh unless we abandon the will of our flesh in favor of God's will. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:8.
Many people say all people are the children of God, but this is not true. All people are known of God, yet not all are His children!
The enemy exists and the enemy IS the god of this world (small "g")! The god of this world is the devil, and NOT the one true almighty God in heaven. See for yourself: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. (Emphasis added).
The enemy wants all of us to live in the flesh, and disregard any pursuit of the will of God. Why? The devil and those of the devil are antichrist, i.e., against the Christ whose spirit as we know, and will learn here with absolute certainty, is the Word of God. To disobey the Word of God almighty is the evil purpose of the devil and the devil's children.
As people we hear this response to the above text: "But wait, you don't understand, I was made this way, and I don't believe God would play some trick on me because of the way I am. The way I am is all I have ever known, and thus it is the WAY I AM..." The simple answer is, we were all "made this way", i.e., in the flesh by our parents, but GOD made our soul, which contains our will, and it is man's spirit, i.e., man's will that has the right to choose life or death, and our heart that allows love to conquer all.
We all have genetic traits of our parents. For us, we have two (2) fleshly parents, but for the Lord Jesus His genetic traits came from the almighty God the Father and one flesh parent. He was born of God and of a woman. He had a spirit, i.e., the Word of God from God and a fleshly body from a human.
Will of Man
Man/woman has a will called the will of man. Each man/woman has their own will of man, and it is our spirit, i.e., our inner man. Each man/woman has their own individual will of the flesh, and there is also the will of God. This is the basis for the proper analysis of the Three Wills.
We have a will of the flesh which has its own thoughts and desires defined and governed by a "carnal mind". We can be a " carnally minded" person or a " spiritually minded" person. This is the true flesh versus spirit debate.
But those that seek and do God's will are not in the flesh!
Doing God's will means doing the works Jesus did and more, just as Jesus said we would, according to the Father's will. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12.
Will of God
Jesus said: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21.
Jesus taught us to do as He did, and that IS to DO the will of the Father, go and sin no more, and to live in the spirit, not by the desires and wants of your flesh. Jesus said: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23
There was a time when Jesus was in the middle of a group of people inside a building, and they told him that his mom and brother were outside wanting to speak with him, but they couldn't get in because of the crowd. Jesus then turned to the entire crowd made up of all sorts of people, believers and unbelievers, and said: For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:50 and Mark 3:35.
If you want to be part of the family of God, and be a child of God, then you will do the will of God, because that is what Jesus did with His body and His body was the "temple" or house for the Word of God. The beginning of an eternal life is at the door, and that is the body of Jesus. If we are part of the body of Christ, we are to do what He did, plain and simple, which most assuredly is the will of God, for it is the Word of God, that is the spirit of Jesus in the flesh. God wants us to embrace His Word, and make it our source of life in our inner man. That is why he sent it to us in Jesus!
Word, The
God is a trinity and part of Him is the Word, and all of Him is love. The Word is a statement of God's love for all men by sharing His will, i.e., the way for us to live. The Word is spiritual and it is life, i.e., the way to live and not just now, but forever! For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7. (Emphasis added). God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24. (Emphasis added). The Word is spirit and is written in our hearts. Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 2 Corinthians 3:2-3.
Word Made Flesh
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14.
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Mark 10:18.
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Luke 18:19.
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Matthew 19:17.
The Word of God "made flesh" means the Word was given a fleshly body in the form of a human body in order to dwell with and communicate with us as we are, i.e., fleshly humans. It is a FACT that Jesus the man was killed, buried, and raised from the dead alive again. Many, many, people saw him and witnessed this fact with their own eyes.
Word (the) Must Know YOU!
It is not determinative if we claim to know who Jesus is because even the devil and demons know the identity of Jesus. And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. Mark 1:23-25. See also, Luke 4:33-35.
What is determinative is who Jesus, the Word, knows, and the Word has no place in the devil, and no place in those that are of the devil.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23.
How does Jesus know anyone?
Jesus knows them by dwelling in them as their life, i.e., by the Word dwelling in them. When we become born again, our inner man becomes the Word. Jesus comes in us, and we become part of the body of Christ by virtue of the Word dwelling in us. There is no other Way, but by Him.
Romans 8:9-10.
We can start with the Bible!
Not all people are children of God, and not all people who claim to know Jesus will enter heaven in the end. Only the members of the royal family of the Father God enter heaven. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. Mark 3:35.
The spirit first comes into our fleshly bodies when we receive the Word by believing it! We receive because we believe! Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The Word is also a statement of God's will for everyone. People perish in the end because they do not believe the Word, or resort to an interpretation to change it in order to satisfy their own desires.
Remember, it is not who we know, but who He knows.
Jesus said: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23. (Emphasis added).
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:23-27. (Emphasis added).
People claiming to be Christians are also those who claim to be saved, claim Jesus is their Lord, AND also MUST be claiming to be living as part of the body of Christ. If this is their claim, they MUST also be a disciple of Jesus because the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. ...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26. They must also be servants of God because their life is through Jesus who most assuredly is a servant!
If a person's " doctrine" or set of beliefs differ from the Word, then they must change their beliefs. Many people, however, often expect the Word or Bible to be interpreted to suit their own "doctrine" and corresponding chosen lifestyle. The NEW Testament is ours today and the Old Testament has been fulfilled already. We live in the NEW because it is spiritual!
For one to believe in their heart Jesus is their Lord, they also must be living proof of it, or they make themselves a liar or Jesus a liar. God cannot lie and the spirit of the Christ Jesus is the Word of God according to the Bible. If our lives make God (i.e., the Word and Jesus, the Holy Spirit and/or the Father;'s will) a liar we work iniquity. We must not try to change the Word from what it is, and or how it was written in the Bible. If we do, we then say the spirit of the Christ does not suit us well enough, but God is the best judge of that, right?

The "world" in
John 3:16
is the creation of God and all that inhabits it. It is not the culture or ways of the world which has a derogatory context when applied to that which God has created. The ways of this world are the enemy of God. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4. This world is full of caring unbelievers who are friends of the world, and who will die in hell!
World, Spirit of the
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Corinthians 2:12. People living by the spirit of the world will go to hell to die a second death, if they do not become born again.
